These technologies can help plug revenue leakages, enhance transparency, and align with the Federal Government’s goal of optimising revenue generation, which is one of the key pillars of the Aviation Minister’s Five-Point Agenda.

Chime and Ogunbanwo examined the strategic role of Chartered Accountants in deploying and sustaining technology solutions that can close long-standing gaps in aviation revenue collection.

The presenters also drew on global best practices that could be adapted to the local aviation landscape, emphasising the need for Nigeria’s aviation agencies to embrace innovation in financial management. The session saw robust participation, reflecting the eagerness of members to engage with ideas that can strengthen both professional capacity and the financial resilience of the aviation industry.

In his closing remarks, Ayodele Olatiregun, the Chapter’s Pioneer Chairman, urged accountants to apply the knowledge gained from the session. He noted that embracing emerging tools is vital not just for personal effectiveness but also for the wider transformation of the aviation sector.

Olatiregun reaffirmed the Chapter’s commitment to advancing members’ technical expertise through platforms that blend professional development with national interest.

The ICAN Aviation Chapter’s emphasis on technology as a critical driver of growth in the aviation sector underscores the importance of innovation in driving revenue growth and improving public service delivery.
