Recent investigative findings reportedly revealed that documents the Minister submitted during his screening process were falsified.
The reports claimed that Nnaji was never awarded any academic certificate by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), as he purportedly stated. Additionally, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was said to have denied issuing the certificates he presented for his ministerial appointment.
Reacting to the development, the ADC expressed disappointment over what it described as the government’s indifference to the allegations.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said it was unsurprised that President Bola Tinubu’s administration had continued to retain the Minister despite the seriousness of the accusations.
The ADC stated that the government’s silence reflects a concerning tolerance for corruption and undermines its professed commitment to accountability.
It questioned why the Minister remains in office if he has not voluntarily stepped aside to clear his name.
The opposition party further demanded the immediate suspension of Nnaji to allow for an impartial and thorough investigation into the allegations.
The ADC added that if the Minister is found culpable, he should not only be relieved of his position but also face legal prosecution for forgery and perjury.
