Banditry: Gov Yusuf urges Kano residents to remain calm

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, has asked the State Citizens to remain calm as the government has taken full steps in crushing any emerging Bandits threats to the city.

Governor Yusuf, who was speaking while opening the 34th Executive Council Meetings, explained that the government is not taking the matter lightly as they have deployed all necessary measures to tackle the emerging threats.

The Governor, who commended President Tinubu for the declaration of State of Emergency on the Nation Security, said that together they would hugely tackle the banditry activities.

“We understand that the bandits are taking advantage of Tsanyawa, Shanono, Bagwai and other bordering villages to strike, but we are taking every necessary measures to ensure that Kano remains safe”.

Governor Yusuf, said that his government is receiving all the necessary support from the Security agencies in the State and together they would take care of the unfortunate situation.

“We have sat down with the Security Personnel and mapped out strategies on how tackle the emerging Bandits threats by this and so many other actions we have taken I’m asking our good people of Kano to remain calm”.
