‘Ban them all’ – Bashir hails Trump over visa restrictions for terrorism sympathizers

A former presidential media aide, Bashir Ahmad has commended the move by President Donald Trump’s administration to ban terrorism financers and supporters from entering the country.

DAILY POST recalls that the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, on Wednesday announced that the US government will restrict “visas for those who knowingly direct, authorize, fund, support, or carry out violations of religious freedom”.

The move has received a series of commendations from concerned Nigerians and some international freedom fighters, who claimed that Christians are being persecuted in Nigeria.

Reacting, Bashir, in a post on his official X handle on Wednesday night, said the visa ban policy is a welcome development.

He wrote, “This is a welcome development. All individuals, whether in Nigeria or abroad, who are causing trouble, fueling destruction or contributing to the killings in our country should be banned. Ban them all.

“They are also killing my fellow Muslims, not only your Christian brothers and sisters. If they undermine our peace and stability, they should be deprived of the privilege of ever setting foot in the United States again”.
