Ayala Warns Fubara: Investigating Former Sole Admin May Spark Fresh SOE in Rivers

Frank Ayala, a public affairs analyst, has cautioned Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, against investigating the former sole administrator, Ibok-Ete Ibas, following the recent handover.

Ayala expressed concern that such a probe could reignite political tensions in the state.

In an interview with Voice Of The People TV, he explained that Fubara’s government might face strong opposition if he attempts to probe Ibas, warning that this could even lead to another state of emergency being declared.

Ayala stressed that the political environment in Rivers remains fragile, and any aggressive move could trigger unrest.

He said, “If Fubara tries to probe the sole administrator who just handed over, he may not find peace in Government House.

They may not remove him directly, but there could be developments that lead to the declaration of another emergency.

Remember when Tinubu announced March 18, he mentioned six months at first this shows it could be extended, and if conditions justify it, a second emergency is possible.”

Ayala’s warning highlights the delicate balance of power in Rivers State and the risks associated with challenging past political arrangements.

He suggested that careful navigation and restraint are necessary to avoid destabilizing the region.

His comments serve as a reminder that the political climate in the state remains highly sensitive, and any misstep could escalate tensions further.
