Member representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, says the Cross River State governor, Professor Ben Ayade, is the president Nigeria needs.
He further said that an Ayade presidency will change the negative narratives affecting the country’s development as a nation.
Hon. Etaba reiterated this while consulting the leadership and critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the 2023 general elections.
In his words, “With the quantum of developmental initiatives anchored on the entire Cross River State socioeconomic landscape under Governor Ben Ayade since 2015, Nigeria will be better placed on an economic, industrial and social pedestal under an Ayade-led presidency.
“All delegates across the 36 States of the federation and Abuja attending the anticipated forthcoming National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), should support the patriotic zeal, sincerity of purpose and presidential ambition of Governor Ben Ayade”, Hon. Etaba said.
Hon. Etaba used the opportunity of his interaction with the party stakeholders and executives, to itemise the policy thrust of his third term bid.
These he said included an even more inclusive representation, continued and rapid growth of the entire constituency and more empowerment programmes for the electorate.
He added that it was for that reason he took time out to go into the hinterlands and feel the pulse of the people and to properly identify with their plight.
Rt. Hon. Etaba told the party leadership that the stakeholders were unanimous in their decision of endorsing him for the coming elections.
Speaking further at the occasion, the Director General of the Mike Etaba Campaign Council, Bishop Chris Obasse, said that Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba has positively redefined the concept of representation in view of his fabulous and visible achievements in the Federal House of Representatives.
He went further to enumerate the characteristics of Rt. Hon. Etaba to include honesty, hardworking, sincerity of purpose, humility and a sound knowledge of the inner workings of the legislature.
