Former presidential candidate, Peter Ameh has taken to his official X account on Monday, October 13, 2025 to react after the Minister of Works, David Umahi revealed the coast of Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
This came after the minister was asked to give the actual cost of the project during an interview.
According to the post that was published by SAHARA REPORTERS, the minister said a standard coastal road will cost N7.5 billion per Kilometre.

According to SAHARA REPORTERS, the Minister of Works said that;
“A coastal road is going for N7.5billion per kilometer of standard highway. However, this N7.5 billion includes all the fillings, shore protections, solar lighting throughout and planting of trees”.
Reacting, Peter Ameh disagreed with the cost that was mentioned by the MInister of Works. He said even if the road is 20 lanes, it won’t cost that much. He told David Umahi to have the fear of God.
