The former governor of Kaduna State and Chieftain of the ADC coalition, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai has slammed his critics over his controversial actions in Southern Kaduna while serving as governor. According to his statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that his loudest critics were not the rural poor or farmers, but political elites who were bent on instigating conflicts.
Years after vacating office as the governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai remained on the spotlight for the wrong reasons as his policies affected the good people of Southern Kaduna who were mainly farmers, herders and traders.
Following the backlash received from different quarters, the former governor found it necessary to defend his policies and actions that led to the displacement of several individuals in the southern Kaduna region.
