NBA demanded immediate suspension of the enforcement which it considered as disregard to the court.

“The Nigerian Bar Association has formally notified the Nigeria Police Force of the pendency of Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1821/2025 challenging the legality of the tinted permit policy.

“The NBA has demanded an immediate abatement of all acts in disregard of the court and has further resolved, through NBA-SPIDEL, to proceed with contempt and disciplinary proceedings against any erring officers. The rule of law must prevail!” The statement read.

Attached to the statement was the letter served to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, reminding him of the pending suit over the tinted glass permit.

The association had in the letter issued on Wednesday by its Section on Public Interest and Development Law (SPIDEL) noted that the reminder marked the second time the Police will be served the copy of the originating summon.
