The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has pounded bandits’ locations across Kakihun, Oke-Ode, Babanla, and surrounding areas in Kwara State after Sunday morning’s attack on the Oke-Ode community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
The armed men had stormed the Ogbayo area of Oke-Ode, shooting sporadically and targeting members of the local vigilante, killing 12 persons, including the Baale of Ogbayo.
NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said in a statement on Monday that reconnaissance and close air support operations were executed to deter threats, while hostile elements sighted east of Babanla were decisively engaged.

According to him, concurrent surveillance flights also covered key settlements and military positions, gathering critical intelligence to support ground forces.
He said the missions, which reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to protecting troops and civilians, maintained air superiority and sustained pressure on hostile actors, while all operations were completed successfully.
