President Bola Tinubu has extended his warmest wishes to the Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFCWW) and Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle, Bishop David Oyedepo, as he celebrates his 71st birthday.
In a statement released on Friday by his spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President congratulated Bishop Oyedepo’s family, the entire Living Faith Church community, members of David Oyedepo Ministries International (DOMI), and the broader Christian fold.
Describing the cleric as “a towering figure of influence and impact,” President Tinubu praised Bishop Oyedepo’s remarkable reach across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond, through decades of spiritual leadership, educational initiatives, and philanthropic efforts.

He commended the unwavering dedication, discipline, and drive that have characterized Oyedepo’s ministry since its founding in 1982—qualities that have propelled the global growth of the church, also known as Winners Chapel.
Tinubu also highlighted Bishop Oyedepo’s enduring contributions to nation-building through major investments in infrastructure, education, and healthcare—developments that have positively impacted numerous cities and communities.
He noted that the faith leader’s educational institutions, from foundational to tertiary levels, have played a vital role in shaping holistic human development.
“You have built one of Africa’s most impactful Christian ministries from humble beginnings,” the President remarked.
“Your steadfastness in the Word of Faith ministry is exemplary, birthing many ministries with resonating impact on key sectors of the economy.”
Tinubu further praised the academic excellence fostered by Covenant University and Landmark University, both established by Oyedepo, stating that they “continue to raise the standard of education, competing favourably with other global institutions.”
He acknowledged Oyedepo’s spiritual influence on the nation’s moral compass: “Your contributions to nation-building through preaching and teaching of faith, discipline, and service remain deeply appreciated by our government.”
“At a time when our nation continues to draw strength from moral and spiritual leaders, you have remained a pacesetter and symbol of a servant leader for many to emulate,” Tinubu added.
