His full story and statement were documented in a post on the popular social media platform TikTok by a content creator with the username @ekaftv.

The TikTok user met the man on the street, where he detailed his experience and real-life situation.

When asked if he feels fulfilled in life, the question got him emotional. He said:

“I feel like crying. Because we chased dreams, I mentioned that I’ve travelled to India. I schooled in India, I have Nigerian degree. I just sent my resignation letter to an American University because I don’t feel I was fulfilling purpose.”
“I don’t feel I’ve achieved anything working with them.”
“All my life, so much education, so much hustle, so much struggle but you can hardly put food on the table.”
“Forget packaging, tell yourself the truth.”

He was asked if he is married, and again, the question took him unaware. He spoke from his heart:

“But I am not. So much education, so much hustle and struggle, no wife no kids. Living in a country that doesn’t support your dream, a country that fights you when you’re fighting to survive.”

The interviewer pushed further, asking him about his plans and whether he is still chasing his dream. He replied:

“The question got me emotional but I had to control my emotions as a media person. Yes I’m a media person, I studied film and television journalism at the Asian Academy of Film and Television, New Delhi. And I have my Bsc in Business Management from Modibbo University, Adamawa state. I know I’ll fulfill purpose.”
“Religious wise, I keep hope alive. The only thing is I feel I’ve not achieved what I’m supposed to achieve in life but I know I’ll be there.”
“I resigned yesterday from my job and today, I’m in Lagos, still looking for job. I believe everything will click.”

His story has since moved many people, who have taken to the comment section of the post to share their thoughts.
