Nollywood actress Aderonke Ayodele, popularly known as Arike, has opened up about a disturbing experience of assault from a man who once lived in the same compound with her.
In a video interview shared on Feel Right News TV on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the actress recounted how she narrowly escaped an attempted molestation.
According to her, the man had shown interest in dating her when she first began her career in filmmaking, but she turned him down because they lived in the same compound, a situation she felt was inappropriate.

Ayodele revealed that despite her rejection, the man continued to linger around her. The situation escalated one day when she was alone at home. On her way to the bathroom, he suddenly grabbed her, forcefully removed her towel, and carried her to his room in an attempt to assault her.
In her statement, she said, “When he put me on his bed, I was trying to cover my body, and he said that he would forcefully molest me because I didn’t agree to date him. I was determined not to allow him to forcefully abuse me, and I didn’t care if I died while protecting myself. He grabbed my hands and started beating me, but I was trying to fight back. I had to bite him on his shoulder and run.”
