In a report by PUNCH on Sunday June 14, 2026, Gidado Siddiki, the Deputy Director General of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) overseeing the South-East and South-South, has expressed concern over what he described as growing stigmatisation and forced eviction of Fulani settlers in parts of southern Nigeria.

According to report, many Fulani residents are quietly leaving communities where they have lived for decades due to ethnic profiling and worsening insecurity.

Gidado alleged that Fulani settlers in Nkaleha community in Ebonyi State were expelled from the area despite intervention by the Department of State Services (DSS) and a Memorandum of Understanding previously reached between community leaders and stakeholders.

Favor As Higher Power? (The hidden truth) Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.

Siddiki also noted that similar incidents occurred in Nselu community, where he said Fulani residents are no longer present following their displacement.

In his words, “We are suffering stigmatisation, hatred and ejection in some states. Our people have been ejected from Nkaleha community despite the intervention of the DSS. Presently, we don’t have our people in Nkaleha and Nselu at all.”
