Uncertainty continues in Rivers State as Governor Siminalayi Fubara has yet to resurface in Port Harcourt following his official reinstatement.
Correspondent Friday Olokor told Arise Television’s Morning Show that although the state appears calm, residents are unsettled by the governor’s absence. He described the situation as a governance vacuum, with the people awaiting clear leadership direction.
Fubara’s reinstatement came after President Bola Tinubu ended the six-month emergency rule in Rivers and instructed Sole Administrator Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas to step down. In his final broadcast, Ibas appealed to citizens to rally behind the governor.

Olokor warned that the deepening divisions could worsen the political crisis if reconciliation is not prioritized, adding that ordinary citizens are the ones suffering most from the standoff.
