Iraq: Israel Warns That Attacks on Islamic Countries Endanger All Nations in the Region

According to a report by Al Jazeera, on September 16, 2025, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has called for a united collective security approach within the Arab and Islamic world in response to attacks on member countries.

Speaking at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, al-Sudani emphasized that an attack against one Arab or Islamic country should be regarded as aggression against all.

Al-Sudani stressed, “The security and stability of any Arab or Islamic country are an integral part of our collective security.”

He urged leaders present at the summit to move beyond mere condemnation and adopt coordinated collective action to address the escalating threats facing the region.

To achieve this, the Iraqi Prime Minister proposed establishing a joint Arab-Islamic committee tasked with conveying the collective position to global forums such as the United Nations Security Council, the General Assembly, and the European Union.

Al-Sudani highlighted the “real opportunity” to send a clear and firm message confirming that the security of member nations is non-negotiable.

The summit was convened following an Israeli attack on Qatar, which al-Sudani condemned as having “exceeded all limits” and violated fundamental humanitarian principles.

He called upon the leaders to issue a unified condemnation of the incident and urged the development of a comprehensive roadmap toward a ceasefire.

Al-Sudani warned that failing to deter Israeli aggression would lead to further instability and insecurity, stating, “This will not achieve security for any party.”

His remarks reflected a growing concern among regional leaders about the increasing frequency and severity of attacks, which threaten the stability of the broader Middle East and Islamic world.

The call for collective security and unified response marks a significant effort by Arab and Islamic countries to strengthen regional cooperation amid rising geopolitical tensions, particularly in light of Israel’s recent military actions.
