The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Friday, denied reports that he was recently arrested on France.
Wike described the report as the handiwork of those trying to distract him from from being focused in carrying out the mandate given to him by President Bola Tinubu.
He disclosed this to journalists after inspecting the Interchange bridge and road linking Gwarimpa with Jahi, Katampe, Gishiri, and Maitama.
According to Wike: “What is important is that I remain focused, they were the ones that were arrested. You see, people would like to distract you because you know what you are doing.
“Remember last time they said that ‘they were sick and flown abraod, this time around they said that they have been arrested in France.’
“I’m here doing my job and its for you to remain focused, infact, their boss who is the president is happy with what you are doing and you too, you are focused to delivery on the mandate that has been given to you.
“People would say all kinds of things but they are happy that we are doing a good job but because they want to distract me, they carry all kinds of propaganda, seen you know what you are doing remain focused and deliver on the mandate given to you by the president.”
