Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Wednesday declared that Nigeria must prevail in the war against insecurity.
Akpabio said that if God could help the world defeat COVID-19, then Nigeria must also overcome insecurity.
He made the remark during the ministerial screening of former Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, for the role of Defence Minister.
The Senate President said that, for the sake of future generations, Nigeria must win the war against insecurity.
He said: “If God can assist the world to win the war against COVID then we can win the war against insecurity, we shall win the war against insecurity.
“We don’t want to talk about the collaborators, we don’t want to talk about any conspiracies, we don’t want to talk about the enemies of Nigeria and the government, we don’t want to look at them, we just want to win the war. We must win this war for us to bequeath a better country to future generations.”
