Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has opened up on former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s comments at his 65th birthday event.
Fayose noted that he was so provoked that, for a moment, he felt like grabbing the microphone from the former president and hitting him with it.
Fayose shared this in a new interview, where he recounted the series of events that led to his 65th birthday celebration.
At Fayose’s birthday ceremony in Lagos, Obasanjo had reflected on his long-running feud with Fayose, describing the former governor as “not the best” of his political protégés while acknowledging his political accomplishments.
Fayose revealed that, two weeks ahead of his birthday, he chose to reconcile with several individuals he had previously clashed with politically.
