The Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has commended efforts aimed at rescuing the abducted victims of the Kwara Church attack.

“I would like to commend the security agencies and all those who played a role in this refreshing development. But there should be no room for complacency.”
DAILY POST reports that at least 50 students, from among those kidnapped at St Mary’s Catholic School, Papiri, Agwara Local Government, Niger State, allegedly escaped and have been reunited with their parents.
In the same vein, Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, confirmed the release of 38 persons abducted during the attack on Christ Apostolic Church, Eruku, in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.
