According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, November 6, 2025, popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that her parents, who had separated years ago, have come together once again in a united effort to secure the release of their son, Sammy West, who is currently being held in custody.
The report explained that Rita Daniels, Regina’s mother and a fellow actress, has been outspoken throughout the period of her daughter’s ongoing marital issues with Senator Ned Nwoko. In contrast, Regina’s father, Jude Ojeogwu, has remained silent and distant from the public eye regarding the matter—until now.
In a Facebook post shared on Thursday, Regina expressed gratitude and relief that her estranged parents have put aside their past differences for the sake of their children. She emphasized that their reunion was not driven by any hidden agenda or personal interest, but was solely for the purpose of supporting their family during this challenging time and ensuring her happiness.
Regina also provided an update about her elder brother Sammy West, who was recently taken into custody. Reports suggest that his arrest is connected to the controversy surrounding Regina’s troubled marriage, although details of his alleged involvement remain unclear. Despite the uncertainty, Regina is determined to stand by her brother and secure his freedom.
She strongly expressed her frustration over the length of his detainment, stating that it has dragged on longer than expected. In her words, “Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me”.
