BREAKING: Couple Caught Having Sex at 90mph on Autobahn Arrested by Police

According to a report by Daily Mail Online on Thursday, November 06, 2025, German police have arrested a couple accused of endangering motorists after being caught having sex while driving at 90 miles per hour on the Autobahn.

Authorities said the pair, aged 37 and 33, were seen swerving dangerously across lanes on the A1 motorway near Dortmund on Monday. Witnesses reported that their Ford vehicle repeatedly drifted toward the edge of the road and nearly caused multiple collisions.

According to police, one truck driver was forced onto the hard shoulder after the car veered sharply to the right. Another driver, who passed the vehicle, alerted officers after noticing the male driver and his female passenger engaged in sexual activity.

Officers intercepted and arrested the couple at a nearby petrol station outside Münster. The man, who was behind the wheel, has been charged with dangerous interference with road traffic. Authorities said his actions could have led to a serious pile-up.

The Autobahn, Germany’s vast highway system, is well known for sections without official speed limits. However, about 30 percent of the roads have regulated limits, and certain areas use automated systems to manage traffic flow and reduce risks.

Police emphasized that reckless driving at high speed — especially under distraction — poses a severe danger to all motorists.

In a similar case earlier this year, a driver was caught racing at 200 mph on the A2 highway near Burg, west of Berlin. That motorist received a €900 fine, a three-month driving suspension, and two penalty points after being detected by a stationary radar system known as an Enforcement Trailer.

Authorities continue to remind drivers that safety and focus remain the most critical rules on Germany’s highways, even on sections where no speed limit applies.
