6 Foods That Do Not Digest Very Well In The Body

There are some foods we eat that put a lot of work on our digestive system. According to WebMD, these foods should specifically be avoided when you have gastrointestinal problems or when you are about to sleep.

The following are foods that don’t digest easily:

1. When you eat too many carbohydrates and fiber-rich foods, they can upset your digestive system. Carbohydrates and fiber are good for the body, but you must not rush while eating them.

You can take it once a day so that your stomach will not become full of gas or become bloated.

2. Citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, and grapefruit might cause some digestive difficulties for some people. This is because of their acidic content. It’s best to eat citrus fruits in moderation.

3. Fried foods can take a longer time to digest because they contain a lot of fat. Oily foods can cause gastrointestinal disorders. If you want your food to digest very well, try to avoid fried foods and boil them instead.

4. Foods that are made with artificial sweeteners can cause some digestive problems. Artificial sweeteners in foods can cause some painful contractions of the muscles in your stomach. This stomach upset can also cause diarrhea.

5. Beans don’t digest easily because our bodies can’t fully digest them. It’s very rich in fiber, carbohydrates, and protein and soaks up a lot of water during metabolism in our digestive system.

By soaking beans in water before cooking them, your body will digest them very well.

6. Foods that are cooked with too much pepper can cause digestive system disorders that make you feel like vomiting, you feel discomfort, and an uncomfortable feeling of burning sensation in the chest.

This is because spicy foods can cause gastroesophageal reflux after eating them. Pepper is good for the body, but you should take it moderately to allow easy digestion.
