
The proposed Super Eagles friendlies against Venezuela and Colombia is now expected to be called off following the team’s qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Playoffs.
Nigeria earned a place in the playoffs following a 4-0 victory over the Cheetahs of Benin Republic on Tuesday night.
The Super Eagles were due to tackle Venezuela on November 14.
The clash with Colombia is scheduled to hold four days later.
Éric Chelle’s side will face Gabon in the semi-final of the playoffs on Thursday, 13 November.
Should they beat the Panthers, they will face the winner of the clash between Cameroon and Democratic Republic of Congo in the final.
